Before you begin the process, you will need the following information and documents:

- Your curriculum contract/course of study issued by your university, listing all of your required courses by name and number. The document must be signed by your university advisor.
- Your current temporary provisional or probationary certificate issued by EPSB, in the area that you are seeking certification and teaching in. Your licensing number must be visible on the certificate. (Your district makes this application. Contact a central office personnel to find out whom to ask.) (The Traineeship Program requires a current copy of your temp. certificate as part of your application. If you do not have your certificate, the Special Education Traineeship Program still needs documentation that you have applied to the EPSB for your temporary certificate. Please go on your personal account on the EPSB website and copy the image showing the certificate you applied for, the date it was submitted, your name and licensing number. Please use the screen shot in place of the certificate on the application. This usually only applies for Fall applicants. A copy of the actual certificate must be emailed to the Traineeship Program (kytraineeship@kytraineeship.org) before the semester begins).
- Complete course names and numbers. (ex. Intro to Autism EDS 325)
- Your university ID number. Please consistently use your legal name as it appears on your certificate.
